Raintree Restaurant Madikeri was the creation of 3 friends who shared the common love for food.

Renil, Devaiah & Dinesh all having a strong connect to Coorg found this quaint town as the perfect setting to express their culinary passion and Raintree was born in 2010!

The Belliappa House, a over 100 year old home famous for having hosted the Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi during his stopover to Kodagu sometime in the 20’s on his tour of the country was the apt setting to celebrate the first multi-cuisine elite restaurant in Coorg which was on the cusp of being discovered by the tourism industry

The trio were joined by the 4th partner, Hemant who is a first generation coffee enthusiast when he set-up a cafe within Raintree to complete the offering for the restaurant in the land of coffee.

Over the last decade, Raintree has delighted guests with its culinary offering ranging from North Indian, Tandoor, Oriental, South Indian and Coorg specialties.

The range of Pepper fry’s, Ghee Roasts, Pandi Curry, Kababs, Stews with Appams are to drool over! No visit however is complete without finishing with our signature dessert made from milk and tender coconut – Elaneer Payasam!

The cafe called Beans N Brews which features estate fresh coffees from the famous Mercara Gold Estate provides a rich coffee experience and has a retail tuck shop to ensure a wholesome and immersive Coorg memory!
